| dc.description | The article analyzes the experience of foreign countries in preventing sexual violence and sexual exploitation of children on the Internet. The problems of combating this phenomenon in the international information space are highlighted. Attention is drawn to the fact that world policy in the interests of children should be based on accurate knowledge and understanding of the real situation of children, their needs and ways to best meet them. Rapid development of information technology and benefits of the modern digital world have led to the emergence of new threats in the information sphere. One such threat is the proliferation of child sexual exploitation on the Internet, where the amount of child sexual exploitation continues to grow. The use of the latest technological forms and tools on the Internet is leading to the increasing involvement of children in criminals to produce child pornography. In particular, about 12 million items of content containing child pornography are circulating on social networks. According to UNIF, about 2 million children are used in the sex industry every year. There are more than 1 million images of children who have been sexually abused on the Internet. Only some of these children have been identified. Every 5 minutes, the Internet Watch Foundation inds photos or videos of child sexual abuse (child pornography) on the Internet, 40% of which contain images of children under the age of ten. The estimated cost of online broadcasting of sexual abuse of a child is 10-20 euros. Evidence of the prevalence of sexual violence against children in Europe shows that one in five children has suffered from some form of sexual violence, often with severe consequences for their physical or mental health and development. According to the Internet Watch Foundation, Ukraine ranks 7th in the world in the distribution of child pornography on the World Wide Web. According to Interpol, the Ukrainian market for pornographic products is estimated at $ 100 million a year. | uk_UA |
