Використання інформаційних технологій сучасних бібліотек у вищій школі нефілологічного профілю

Abstract

У статті проаналізовано використання сучасних інформаційних технологій в бібліотеках, описано послуги, які надаються користувачам за допомогою комп'ютерних технологій. Розкрито завдання сучасних бібліотек в умовах інформатизації суспільства.

The article analyzes the use of modern information technologies in libraries, describes the services provided to users through computer technologies. The rapid intrusion of digital technologies has led to radical changes in all areas of the library's activity: from traditional tools to service methods, access to resources, and forms of information provision. The article describes in detail functions of the library, solves problems of modern libraries in the conditions of informatization of society. New information products and services that are gradually introducing into the practical activities of higher education institutions are designed to meet the changing information needs of users. The total translation of all types of publications into electronic form and the creation of convenient electronic catalogs should increase the popularity of electronic libraries and the use of information technology. The electronic catalog is an independent search engine that differs from the traditional catalog with its own personal search environment; the possibility of organizing the search in the electronic environment is somewhat different from the capabilities of the traditional card system. The article emphasizes the importance of organizational issues in the work of the library, since when creating an electronic library it is necessary to ensure its accessibility and convenience for users, the speed of the search and delivery of information.
